I finished watching "Making a Murderer" on Netflix and I'm still not sure what to make out of it. Definitely worth a look if you haven't seen it already.
I managed to finish a few crafts project. Finally I have proper curtains in my kitchen. The ends were too long and served as an additional floor duster. Now they are a perfect length and look lovely. I decided not to cut off fabric just in case I would cut them too short and instead I just measured the length they needed to be and picked them up. No mess, no nothing. The whole job was done within an hour between taking them down, ironing them, picking them up and putting them back on.
Finally, I also finished the work for the bathroom and the missing letter B. I had another idea and bought a small picture frame in Tiger - there's a reason I call that place "Small IKEA" - pretty much has everyone for the craft's people and at good prices too.
Finished letters put up with the picture frame to replace the letter B. I think this looks like cool.
I've also decided now that I have more space and a quite large balcony to pot my first plants. I got a pot with tulips recently which I planted about 2 weeks ago, hoping they might come out at some stage. Might have to get a little bit of fertilizer to make them grow.
On top of that I decided to sow more plants. I got a bag with red onion bulbs, carrots, chives, thyme and some snapdragon. Woodies also had daffodils on special that came already planted in a small pot and a friend gave me a metal container that's ideal for holding plants. Well, I think I did quite well. I'm keeping the plants in during January. Most of them shouldn't go out until March, the snapdragon could go out next month. Instead, I've decided to keep them indoors. Even without much sun it's quite warm upstairs in the apartment. Maybe they will come out a bit soon than their suggested harvesting or blooming month.
Thyme and chives - I put a "I" on them to remind myself that I planted them in January. I hope to set up a control group for February. I still have some carrots, thyme and chives left, and of course the bag of red onions is also quite big.
Second batch at the window. I hope something will grew in the next few weeks or months. Once they pass the recommended sowing time I will put them outside. Might have to get some boxes or a higher stand. I was sitting on a cushion on the balcony to be more comfortable. I worked with the compost outside so it wouldn't ruin my apartment.
In general, I got a lot done this week, managed to loose another kilo. I've ditched some of my meatier diet for a more vegetarian and fish diet. I'm now baking my own bread and eat more raw vegetables and my smoothies contain more whole foods such as oats and linseed. I've also taking to the taste of ginger in a smoothie and I'm delighted that I have such a strong blender. My first granola bars were a bit soft and turned into granola mush but they were tasty nonetheless.
I finish todays post now with the last finished craft project I did, a memory board to remind me to pay my bills.
Hoping the washing machine is finishing up soon so I can go for a walk. Fedora has completed the installation on my other laptop so I have something new to play with.
Have a great Sunday.
